Do any of you folks know if its possible to display the time continuously on a Tavias radio, so I don't have to keep scrolling through the trip computer

Good first question that. Didn't realise the Octy didn't have a constant display clock either. Never really thought about it, but now you mention it, yea, it's a bit of a pain having to scroll it up on the Fabia too.

At last, found something that's not very good. :(

I leave the trip on Time constantly.

What does everyone else leave it on?

I leave mine on 'Range' - but I can never remember which way to scroll to get to the time :(

Leave mine on trip MPG - when I changed the radio for an in car cd player that shows the time. Maybe vag-com tecchies can assist?

Leave mine on constant MPG. It makes me smile so much!

leava mine on time, its the 4x4 and turbo noise that makes me smile

Does anyone know the answer to the original question as I would also find it useful to show the time on the radio. It allows you to set the time but I can't find any way of showing it - bizarre or what???

Pretty sure it's covered in the manual...been a long time since I've used a Symphony, but I seem to recall getting it to show the time...

I have studied the manual very closely but I can't find it anywhere. In its appaling English translation it makes reference to setting the time and RDS stations automatically updating it but nowhere can I find how to show the time - am I being stupid?

The only place I've seen the time on the radio is when it records the traffic announcements.

Not sure about this, but if you go hold onto the A/S button IIRC, you get the munu where you can get various things like Traffic report voume and whether you want to put it on or off with the ignition. If you scroll through this there is a time option, lest there is on the fabia.

Don't know never bothered with it to be honest, but I'd imagine if that you wanted to do it it would be throught this. I'd go out and check except it's p*ssing it down! I always have my trip on time and flick to other options at traffic lights.

Just hold down various buttons for various lengths of time, and eventually you'll get the right combination and it'll happen.

Whats New? I have to admit he can write a good article, have a point on some things and be a good laugh at times but he does bang on about some things he has a limited knowledge about, and shows himself up a bit!
