I have purchased a set of Eibach springs now and have heard you need to adjust the bump stops. if so anyone know how to do it and why?

They are lower therefore you need shorter stops or to shorten those fitted to prevent the travel bottoming out.

Do a search on how to or just buy new ones pre shortened.

I have Eibach Springs and dampers and have not cut the bump stops, drop is still 30mm and have no problems with the ride. I have just renewed the rear bump stops on my vRS as they had totally perished - the old ones had been compressed by a couple of cm!

There is a 'how to' thread on here if you want to cut them, think you cut the bump stop in half, take a section out and araldite back together. Some people have reported problems with a crashy ride hence cutting the stops to allow more travel however mine seem perfectly fine.:thumbup:

Edit: Jabba Sport uprated the suspension and installed the Eibach setup for the previous owner and bump stops were not cut! Thats not to say you should'nt just I have'nt had any problems

I think powerflex do them

no need to cut the bump stops, not had a problem with mine in 40k miles on road and track

(Eibach springs on standard dampers)

Never cut mine either
