the best price i got for all that work was £450 all in from an indy

mines due an 80k service too, i'm not looking forward to the bill

not had an 80k on my fabia yet but have had one on my last car. About £450 I would say was a good start.

375-475

I paid 450 at my usual indy all in but I supplied the oil and brake fluid.

Got quotes for similar recently - £420 at an Indy and £460 at a dealer.

sorry guys but what is a indy

A Indy is an independant garage:thumbup:

Give Ross and Ali a bell at Unit 18 :D

Depending on where you live they will sort you out a great deal i'm sure:thumbup:

cheers for that

I've been quoted £285 for cambelt and waterpump, £130 for 60k service (full inspection, oil and filter, air filter and pollen filter and scan), and £22.50 brake fluid change... so £437 all in...... sound good?

Speaking of which (sorry to go slightly off topic) I can save a further £20 if I order a cambelt kit from VWSpares.com (£85 delivered) but this only has a 1 year warranty instead of 2yr for an official VW part... worth the saving?

I was quoted £195 for an 80k service on my mpi, that was by a Skoda dealer ( DM Keith in Huddersfield), that includes a courtesy car for the day aswell :-)

I was going to get it done (just for peace of mind) but couldn't afford it when i had planned on. Going to do a mini service myself before i go to ireland in august.

I am in a 1.4 mpi aswell (i presume its the same as yours judging by your profile). The MPI has a camchain aswell so no need for a costly cambelt change :-)

hi guys is it possible if i can get a list from somewere showing me everything that is done in a 80k service and i might do the easy jobs my self, like air, oil filters and othere small jobs

cheers:D

Id do the full service, belt and water pump for under £450 ;)
