Fabia Classic 1.4mpi Pollen Filter

Featured Replies

Hi all, I have seen the pollen filter being mentioned here and there in this forum, but I still cannot get heads or tails where this is located in my Fabia CLASSIC 1.4MPI

Can anybody kindly illustrate exactly where I can find this in my vehicle as my a/c is hardly cooling, besides that it makes a "moist" smell, and what's worse, air flow is very poor, even on fan speed 4!!

If anyone could kindly post an image I'd be very grateful...

Thanks guys.

Does this help?

Just a quickie...

On a Fabia estate the pollen filter is indeed located behind the dashboard in the passenger footwell and can be accessed by hanging upside down in the footwell. It's covered by a rectangular cap about 9x2 inches that has two sliding latches on it. The filter itself can be a bugger to replace though as space is tight' date=' it only goes in one way round and when putting it in can catch on other bits of trim!

The last two times I've had mine replaced at the dealers I've ended up re-fitting it myself as it wasn't quite sealed right and whistled so beware. If it does whistle and you can't get it to seal properly use some foam draft excluder (the self adhesive type for household doors) to fill the gap!

i'll look for it... will give you the results ;)

Same place on the tdi amazing how many leafs I had in there no wonder it was clicking like a good'un!

They are all in the same place on the Fabia's/

Place a paper mat or something like that down first to collect the leaves.

Going to do a 'how to' when im back in work and do my 20k service.

Top tip Ross! Going to have to hoover the car out now :(
