repeated intake manifold runner errors

Recommended Posts

I've had the engine check light (emissions control I think its called in the manual, the picture of an engine) come on for the third time today (VRS Petrol). The previous two occasions have been intake manifold runner errors, of the sporadic kind. Skoda assist have come out and reset the light each time, saying if it does it again it'll need attention and they'll take it in to the garage.

Do Skoda garages have access to the Skoda assist reports? I don't want to take it to the garage and have them just reset the light assuming the problem will go away, especially as my warranty runs out in a couple of months. I don't really want to have to get Skoda assist out to take it to the garage when I could arrange to take it in myself at a more convenient time.

Anyone any idea what might need doing? Does it sound like tumble flap failure as mention in the TFSI common issues thread?

Thanks
