Some Forge related questions

Featured Replies

Hi all,

I was wondering if anyone could answer my questions.

1,I've got a Forge FMIC on the way for my Octavia vRS mk1 and I was wondering if anyone would know if you could buy or make up yourself the other part of a cold side DV kit. I believe the main pipe is in the FMIC kit already.

2,Has anyone used the new 'louder' DV on their Skoda? What's it like? Much noisier? (Nothing will compare to chatter but we can't have that can we :()

3,What's the deal with different DV springs? Different strengths for different states of tune?

The only reason I've put this in here and not Octavia I is that I guess the questions aren't just related to that car.

I'll call Forge Monday but someone might be able to help in the meen time.

Thanks :)

1.The cold side DV usually fit on the throttle body hose and that isn't included in the FMIC kit.The hose that comes in the kit connects to the original TB hose.Personally i wouldn't bother with the DV kit.

2.Do you mean the split r valve,if so don't bother.

3.Springs will depend on how much boost you are pushing.
