Iam going to change the gear oil on my Fabia vRS today and was wondering..

Whats the oil code iam after from the stealers?

do i buy 2 litres?

what are the torque settings for the hex bolts on the box?

Do they need new seals like the sump plug or is it just a case of screwing them back in?

find a thread by me from a few weeks ago, we figured out what the correct oil was, its about £15 a litre IIRC

the box holds 2.2 litres so you'll need 3 liters

what are the torque settings for the hex bolts on the box?

drain and top up plugs are 12 point spline , with a tamper proof lug in the middle , so a special socket is required, there will be a torque setting for the plugs , but the Haynes manual doesn't cover the 6 speed gearbox :(

Do they need new seals like the sump plug ?

just put them back in , unless you want to change the sealing washers
