We've had some very heavy rain recently and on one occasion I was in the car adjusting the radio and I couldn't leave the car for 20 mins as the rain was so heavy. It was OK during the rain but the following day as I pulled off the drive there was a small deluge of water from the lower edge of the glove box into the righthand side of the passenger footwell. It stopped immediately but has occurred twice since.

I imagine that this could be very difficult to trace as it's almost impossible to replicate the conditions when it happened.

Has anyone else had this happen to them?

Sounds like a blocked drain vent. Octavias can suffer with this.

Check first the door rubbers from in- and outside...
