Just noticed over the past couple of days that after having the Air con on for a while (it chills perfectly though) there is a kind of whirring sound that I can hear when stopped in traffic. As soon as I turn the air con off it stops. Is it just the fans that I can hear more loudly because im sat in traffic? Or is it something more?

My last Fabia had this and because it was 1.4 I used to notice the power down a bit to.. more than I would have expected (it was like driving a 1.0)..

Told Mechanic and he said it was fine, just the aircon drive belt or something.. I always thought it sounded to loud to be right though, but it never packed up and the air con always worked.

Wow:eek: i was going to post the same as sleithykeithy i noticed it today on my 2001 fabia, was worried it might have been something more serious........but thats the least of it, today some muppet drove into the back of me as he was speeding in heavy rain :thumbdwn:.
