you definetely need a large garage to hide this in. I wouldnt have it parked outside a dump... in the dump maybe...

Yeah it does actually. Hoarding all the fun. Why should you have all the fun??.... and so on.

The bit that makes me worry :-

That when the kid did this to the car, he must have stood back and thought

"yyyeeaaahhhh that looks wicked!"

:rotz:

The youth of today.

I'm thinking met grey with the trim and bumpers in textured black, lowered on banded steels and a 1.6 running on bike carbs. Maybe even a polo GT gearbox and flywheel (prob need custom mount) shouldn't be too hard.

I had similar ideas... that's odd! lol

id be thinking bmw arctic white with black rims. Black leather interior. Maybe a small line of silver down side at the bottom.

give me a shout if you do want to go down the bike carb route. I cant move in my garage for bike components.

Great minds and all that. Think that making the kit contrast the body colour on a fun would look sick.

A lot of people use the AEE (think that is the engine code of 1.6) in polo GT's to make a 1.6 GT. You can run it on the GT injection system or bike carbs/throttle bodies :D and the GT box has really close ratios and is a hoot to drive with. It does fit the 1.6 with the GT flywheel but the mounting might be different. Would be a bag of fun though.

Banded steels. Always look the balls especially on pickups.

Aye!

I won't buy it for stupid money (like that Fun went for the other day), but if it's cheap enough then I'll have it!

Im more of a factory look person. I had a set of vauxhall rims on felly off a late vectra. They looks brilliant!!!!! They also rubbed like a pig ...

I want to get another set and put em on mine and ditch my black chrome set.

Only bit that bothers me so far is the leaking into the cab. Windscreen leaks. Has been reaplaced as well. Was guarenteed not to leak but still does?? Random.

Its the rear bit though. Said that someone has tried to pry it open and now there is a gap.

It will smell a treat in there!! :-)

It'd be a bare metal respray anyway!

Just have to see what the money is saying when it comes to the end of the auction i guess. I only live like 30-40 mins from the car so i am sure that i could man the drive back in it. Oil leak or not. Sorting it out would have to be double quick time because the more i look at it the more it makes me die a litlle inside :-(

ah the gaps adjustable, theres some retained bolts that can be moved back and forward. I reckon itll have just moved them on their slots. 2 seconds to readjust them.

When i got my fun it was noisy from the back seal, i undid the nuts, pulled them forward which pulled the door tight against the seal again. Dead easy.

Use some locktight on it though as they vibrate loose otherwise (found that out)

Legendary!!

Just have to wait and see what the price is like come the end. I mean it's basically an awful looking car with a shagged engine and it leaks :-) Still if it is dirty cheap i may wang a bid on.

Oi, its not better than mine!

Now now. I think the pickups look quite good to be honest.

To be fair though i do have tax and MOT on my truck this month and so buying this aswell does not seem like much of an option.

If you do get it babs i want to see a good project thread :-)

I will!

I will!

only if you win it

C'mon, play fair!

You've already got one!

I know.......

MUAHHAHA

:mecry:

Now now kids stop arguing. Only one way to settle this. I'll have to buy it ;-)

Then give it to me, right?
