Lowering

Featured Replies

Hi everyone

New to this site, i have a vw/skoda mk2 pickup 2000 w reg

Can anyone reccomend anywhere that can sell me the parts ie front coilovers or rear springs to lower my pickup?

Preferably anyone who knows what they are talkin about as iv asked a few people and they dont have a clue what im talkin about or dont even know what my vehicle is!!

Any help would be much appreciated thanks!!

It's a Skoda Felicia, not a VW. That's why people might be confused.

AP do a front coilover kit, and mk4 golf GTi rear springs will drop it about 35mm

Thanks for the replies.

So should i just say my car is a skoda felicia w reg? then just try to get the front 2?

as for AP i looked at their website nothin listed under skoda felicia or either caddy

Why is nothing easy? :(

It's not a Caddy!

Well then the badge on the tailgate must be wrong then.

doesnt caddy mean something that carries something?

therefore it is a caddy!

Caddy is the name vw used when they used the felicia pick up as an interim model between the golf based caddy and their next caddy model. They also used the seat inca as their caddy van. Basicaly a money saving bit of badge engineering. If yours says skoda on the logbook it is a felicia pick up

Know all that stuff and yes mine says volkswagen caddy on the logbook

anyone can see its based on a skoda felicia!

i only wanted to ask for any advice on lowering.

Right... I think we understand.

You own a VW Caddy?

He owns a VW caddy.

Same shape as the felicia pickup with all the same parts apart from the front grill and badges.

They came badged as both VW and skoda as they were made at the time that skoda became owned by volkswagen group. There is no difference in them.

Nothing to do with volkswagen caddys such as the golf shaped one. Nothing at all.

Also nothing to do with any other VW really. No polo bits fit etc.

So basically its a skoda felicia based pickup.

Simple as hell on the lowering and has been asked a million times before.

This is the cheapest place that sells the felicia spring kit (i have searched everywhere) and also most companys will not split kits up. So you have to buy the set and just bin the rear ones as they are useless. I was lucky got the fronts for £20 delivered second hand but only done a couple of hundred miles. Like new :-)

Rears you just need standard mk4 golf GTi springs. **** easy to find and cheap to buy. Check edition38. Even put a wanted add for the rear standard springs off a mk4 golf GTi and someone will have some for you i am sure.

Springs are easy to find but dampers are not. So just lower it 40mm on springs max.

Other than that it is gaz coilies which will be £350 for the fronts.

Pretty much no other companys do anything for them and these are your best options.

Hope this helps you out.

Don't wait around for second hand felicia springs either. I waited months and months and months checking ebay etc. Got lucky on another forum for them.

Do not search for anything under caddy as people more than often think you are talking about the golf based ones.

Good luck!!

Hehe, so now we have a Skoda rebranded as VW and ppl are confused :D

Yeah i guess that's it. The trucks are exactly the same and share everything except the grill setup and the badges.
