Since owning it, myself and Gary (mainly Gary) did / had the work done to get it through it's mot.

So now it has it's 12 month ticket!

Ran it on the rolling road with a low oil pressure warning light (thinking it was just a ****y sensor)

Got 134.65 bhp at the fly, 109.5 at the wheels (wtf) and 100.38ft/lb (also wtf)

Aaaaaany way, after 170 miles of driving with the low oil pressure light, it spat it's dummy oil and produced me with the noisiest car I've ever heard... This is what I ended up with!

This was after an oil flush, new oil and oil filter later mind you :(

Looks like I'll be needing a new bottom end! (Which I should have within a week for £30!)

Also pics of it with it's **** up :P

I wanted a project that could provide a learning curve... Looks like i got one!

Also the wiring is a total mess... fun!

So hopefully with the new bottom end soon I should be up and running until I can afford a BAM or something similar!

Shame to see one of the best cars off all time in that state of disrepair, going to subscribe to this thread!! Any plans other than engine? Or is it 'simply' (used lightly) a restoration job.

I think the single wiper thing should be changed back to a double.

But this looks like a good project coming together. Whats happened to the Fabia?

I actually surprisingly really like the 16v engine, so I'm going to keep running that for now...

But another engine such as a BAM is a real posibility if the circumstances are correct for me at the time!

As for the wiper... It's really shocking isn't it

I want to change that at some point, but it's near the bottom of things to do :P

It's wiring is unbelievable so a new loom may be in order first!

I'll try and get pictures up of all the dodgy loose connectors! haha

Also I'm surprised nobody has commented on the light-brow yet! lol!
