Yeti v Tiguan?

Featured Replies

Had an opportunity to take a short test drive in a Tiguan 2.0 TDI CR 140 4motion while the Golf was in for service.

First impression very favourable, engine appeared notable smoother and quieter than the PD in the Golf.

Also liked the increased visibility and the handling at average driving speeds was if anything better than the Golf (note both have sport suspension).

So will be interesting to compare with the Yeti as they both use the same engine & transmission. If the Tiguan is anything to go by it should be a gem.:)

Yeti will be cheaper and have better fuel economy, so it's won already as far as I'm concerned

Yeti is bit smaller than Tiguan, but not by much. Lighter tho, so mpg will deffo be better :)

Had a quick look at the current edition of Germany's weekly Autobild at the airport yesterday,

it has a "the brothers fight" test.

2.0 TDI Yeti v Tiguan.

The Yeti wins 257 points to 247 & costs E5k less than the VW
