probably been covered before but can't find it!............1999 octavia 1 estate with plastic strip down each side of roof................do these hide the mounts for roof bars or do i have to use the 'old fashioned' type of bar?

you can get the main front to back bars fitted by a main dealer for a couple of hundred pounds then buy the normal estate bars to fit or you could look at some universal bars which will have rubber feet on which will sit on your roof

There were two roof rail kits available, the correct one is dependant on the chassis number.
