Megane Coupe

Featured Replies

When I popped over to see the Skoda Yeti today it was at a dealer who also does Renault, and they had a real looker of a car - turned out to be a Megane Coupe. Looked really curvy and great in white. It felt quite small after going from a cross over to a coupe but I think these look great  Anyone here have one? Any good?

One of the new ones? Yeah, think they look quite nice. What really matters is what RenaultSport do with it though :)

That's the one. Looks even better in real life.

I reckon the Renaultsport version will fly though you'd probably be forced to drive around with some brightly coloured wheels in an awful colour

In the "standard" range the performance one is a petrol with just under 180bhp but 300NM torque which for a petrol is decent. 0-62 in 7.8 seconds, that's pretty quick.

I belie the rs version has 25bhp and a simlar transmission set up to the r26 now

I dearly hope it'll have more than 25bhp ;)

This one was nice

Still a Renault

looks ok but will it be reliable?

I know 2 people who had the old style megane and they were both a pile of poop. Constantly at the dealers, usually with the same problem which took forever to diagnose.

Put me off French cars for good.

I dearly hope it'll have more than 25bhp ;)

Lol Apologies- 250bhp

But this one was awesome

Did the Lotus Elise get jiggy with a Smart Roadster?

I musr admit that I like the new Megane. I had a 1.6 111 on 24 hour test and it was nice to drive and felt solid and well built. Sure the 1.6 petrol engine was gutless but I would think the 1.9 Diesel would be a nice car to live with.

As to the Renault Sport models, I am seriously tempted by a Clio 197 or a Megane but the running costs are a bit beyond me at the moment. Maybe next year when i have (I hope) a bit more cash i will consider one of these.

Seriously mate from experience be weary of the 197, its a blast to drive but numb on the ***, and you will be lucky to see 29mpg never-mind the quoted 32mpg combined. They did a 175bhp megane sport dci have a look at that.

shoot me for saying this please. but i think this a far better looking car than the new scirocco *hides*

in a way ... they go about looking nice in a different way though imo. It's much better looking than any skoda, that's for sure.
