was thinking of upgrading the stereo on my octy vrs. where would be the best place place to get an mfd2? can it play dvds? or would i be best off getting a double din kenwood or jvc head unit?

Why not an MFD3?

is there much in the difference? i presume the mfd3 is more expensive?

One difference is that the mfd3 will play dvds and the mfd2 doesn't.

Just been out in my mates Golf mk6 and he has one of these... it's absolutely brilliant! So basically it's made my mind up that I should get it!

So... is the MFD3 100% compatible with a pre-facelift Octavia vrs Mk2 (which has reverse parking sensors), is it pretty much a case of swapping the units straight over or do i need a new fascia / connectors?

how much roughly would the mfd3 cost? is it hard to install?

seem to be between 500 and 600 to buy off Ebay - mate who got it off there said it was easy to fit, tho i guess it depends on your competence when it comes to getting your fingers mucky - have a read through all of this thread:
