Acoustic Feedback?????

Featured Replies

Think I have just about got the hang of the Bolero radio. However, an menu option says 'acoustic feedback' OFF or ON. The radio manual does not mention this - so what's it mean?

I guess it's the parking sensors.

It's for a beep confirmation when you press an on screen button. http://www.mfd3.com/downloads/US_RNS510_Manual.pdf - page 116. I guess disabling this might make scrolling through long lists of mp3s more bearable.

Could it be to do with turning on/off the beeping noise when you change settings/press buttons?

Yes, it confirms that a virtual button has been pressed. Useful when you are driving and don't want to take your eyes off the road. When I use SD media, I tend to play whole albums (showing my age) so not too much beeping involved in my car.

The only kind of acoustic feedback I could think of initially, was the Jimi Hendrix/Pete Townshend stuff at Woodstock. So the mundane explanations above are quite an anticlimax.
