Hoping someone can help with a problem I have come across whilst following the excellent step by step guide for changing the window regulator at

I'm having trouble releasing the window from the regulator carrier cos its stuck in the fully down position and I can't seem to move it up to line it up with the holes to release it.

Everything going really well until this.....praying i don't have to go the local Skoda dealer with the bits in the footwell .....

Just discovered what the problem was.......the snapped cable had wrapped itself around the motor spindle and was trapping the window.

Now onwards and upwards......

Thanks. I've kind of followed the DIY that you posted here after purchasing my window regulator replacement.It's been very helpful although there's just some parts that are kind of blurry. Thanks again.
