Nurburgring july 2009

Featured Replies

well just got back for my ring trip this year and i was so happy with the car, the rear anti toll bar made a hell of a difference in the cornering, such a reduction in body roll and understeer, only manage 2 laps but i had only planned 4 due to money and the usual hassle with the ring

one guy we went with wrote of his track saxo and got hit with a hefty bill which scared me alot

the fist lap i did i creamed in cause the car behind me span off and **** oil everywhere so the track was closed and i didnt have to worry about traffic for the whole lap

so whole in whole the trip was ace and cant wait to get back out there in may

Some great pictures. I am going to try and get over there myself in a few weeks.

Great shot of the Karrusel approach, shows you how hilly it is!

sure is plus i didnt chicken out like alot of people, just through it in lol

was surprised how many did take the outside line

i actually reckon the outside line might be quicker, but i agree it defies the point. its the carousel. you have to drive over it. great pics mate

thanks for that site, i just found a few more photos of me at the ring:thumbup:

yeah its a good site, im well happy with some of the pictures that came my way.

Luckily we had a few keen amature photographers with us and got some ace shots on the way there also, some on the ring and on the journy home

Stayed at the hotel nordschleife just at breidschied bridge in adenau, great views at a super price

roll on may for another trip

What was the bill for? damage to the barriers?

If you have to ask....

One thing to remember, if you crash at the ring then everything is chargable.

You have to pay for.

Armco per meter, usually x2 as its 2 strips high,

Armco support posts each,

Recovery truck,

Track closure time,

Anything else thats needed, including sand for oil/fluid spills,

Marshall Attendance,

Ambulance (if required).

Damage to any other vehicles (if any) involved if it was your fault.

Very fiew, if any UK insurance policies now cover the ring, either by name or some other wording, so it all has to be paid out of your own pocket.

Here's me entering The Karussell in my Rallye Golf July 2009. Hope to get back there this year.
