Just ordered A New VRS Limited Edition

Featured Replies

Cant be many left now, but just ordered a TDI Manual LE.

Great deal really, coming out of my 16 month old TDI VRS into a brand new motor for no cost!

Should get it within 2 weeks.

Best part of the deal is the stealer will remove my Colombus from my existing VRS as well as my VRStu bluetooth kit and put it in the new Limited edition for Zilch

Next up - REMAP :P

Nice work mate. I think the move to a CR will be noticeable from what I hear.

Cheers mate, should be a nice motor

How come it was at no cost ??

Why did'nt you go for a FL? Given the LE and your current motor are the same shape. Not sure I understand why you changed unless you've had issues with your motor.

Most likely works out financially better. Sometimes when a dealer is looking to reach and end of quarter target they will offer 'silly' deals to move the last couple of cars.

Exactly right, great deal and worked out no cost to move into the new car, plus slightly better repayments each month on PCP.

Also gets me away from the problem of losing my deposit initially put down on the existing VRS due to PCP balloon payment being too high.

Hi,might be an obvious question, but , which Dealer was it please?

When I bought my LE, I can say that I was not impressed with the new FL headlights, they look wrong to me, going away from the more angular headights on the LE or Oct II VRS, which I prefer. The new scalloped headlights on the FL are not to everyones tastes, the rest of the car is though !

Good call Silverware,

Don't think you'll regret the LE at all. The smoother CR will make it seem worth the effort. My only regret was leaving the vrsStu BT kit in my old car, mind you we believe there might have been a problem with the version number I had working in the LE, so waiting for a new one now. Let us know how you get on.

Off to the stealers in the morning to sign all the paperwork.

Existing car is booked in for Monday to have the bluetooth kit and Colombus removed for fitting into the new. A printed version of VRStu's guide will be left in the car to avoid hiccups!

Then the new VRS LE can get the colombus and bluetooth installed, whilst I have back my existing VRS with the original stream back in it.

Then just got to wait for DVLA to get their backside in gear and transfer the plate over, and I will be away.

Many people on here had the bluefin remap on a CR VRS?

Jewsons Oxford - this will be my third purchase through them

Signed all the paperwork today, and reg plate transfer will be taken to local DVLA office on Monday for processing.

Mine goes in monday for de-install of bluetooth and Colombus

Wont be long now.....:P

Silverware. Thought I'd post the best ever photo I have seen of the LE, from Jasper on this forum, his snaps helped me decide....

Full run down when you get the car.

Is that the Scout version?

Scout version? Nope that is a LE VRS Estate.

Jewsons Oxford are excellent - family owned (part of the Ridgeway group) and it shows. Mine came fron there: I wasn't going to change my 20-month-old VW Golf TDI estate, but they did a deal for very little extra monthly cost on the PCP and I have a 170 bhp vRS CR TDI instead of a 140 bhp PD.

I could have had the LE estate for less per month, but I couldn't stand the dark grey paintwork and I didn't want full leather. But if you can live with those the LE is s great bargain. With Skoda's piecemeal approach to facelifting the LE has (as does my vRS) the CR diesel engine, the new dashboard, and a spare wheel. The rest is cosmetic I believe apart from lowered suspension on the facelifted vRS - mine is lowered quite far enough thank you.

I particularly liked Jewsons' approach: I dropped in on spec on my way home from the North, and met Stuart the fleet manager: not his job to dewl with private customers but you'd bever have known. He talked me though a possible deal and offered me the loan of a vRS for a day. That's how to sell - it didn't surprise me when I heard later that he'd sold 30 Octavias to a local company in a single deal.

Yes I know. I was referring to the fact that it looked like an off roader

I'll have 10 pints of what ever you are drinking Jonno :thumbup:.

Good job people are different - makes the world go round!

I really like the anthracite paintwork, and am totally sold on the full leather interior. With two young boys it has to make sense, much easier to keep clean than the alacantra, and IMHO, it looks great

Back on thread.....

Existing car went into the stealers today, and the colombus and bluetooth kit were removed no problem, and the stream put back in - god that looks wierd now

VRS LE now has the bluetooth and colombus fitted into it ready to go, just need a new faceplate to go round it, which has been ordered. Couple of minor hitches putting it into the new car, but a couple of phone calls with VRStu and we were ok (thanks again)

Stealer was removing the poor limited edition badge as I was there and has already got the better quality one in stock ready to fit.

Just got to wait for DVLA to get their paperwork done for the plate transfer and then I will be in.

As an aside - had a facelift L&K courtesy car today, and was very impressed with the common rail engine - very smooth, so looking forward to the CR in the new car!

Hopefully it'll not be long before you're on the road mate.

Always makes me chuckle when people get a really good deal from supposedly a really good dealer, and then refer to them as stealers.

I could understand that terminology if you've been shafted by them at some point, but in this case you clearly haven't.

Maybe a little more credit where it's due, and reserve the correct term for when it's needed.

They are a great dealer, but even so I bet that they will still make about £4k on the deal......not bad business IMO!!
