North East Charity Car Meet

Featured Replies

Just seen this advertised on another forum , anyone up for it ? . . . .

Date: Sunday 20th September 2009

Time: 2pm-5pm

Location: Stadium of Light, Sunderland

There is an entry cost which is £5 per car which will all be donated to Childreach International which is the charity we are supporting in association with the Sage Futurebuilding project

"Its nearly 4 years now since the last big meet I organised at the stadium of light, which was known as Japstyle 2 and was featured in 3 of the tuning magazines including the now non existant J-Tuner and Banzai magazine which is still running now, over 250 cars attended on the night, and everyone had a fantastic time, however this time its going to be bigger, and better, and its all for charity!

There are over 200 spaces available within the car park, and also a seperate section which will be for 'show' cars, 3 sections, front wheel drive, rear wheel drive and four wheel drive and a trophy will be available for the winner of each section. If you are interested in showing off your car and potentially picking up a prize please pm us some information on your car and a picture as there are only limited spaces of 10 per section available. The trophies will be presented at 4pm.

The meet will be held in the car park that is behind the ticket office at the stadium, the car park is also fully floodlit and maccy d's is within a 2min walk of the stadium.

There will be allocated parking for clubs, after previous meets a request was made for clubs to be able to park together, and it worked fantastically well so the theme has continued, so there will be a small map handed out upon arrival into the car park. Could people please let us know if your club are attending so I have a good idea of numbers for parking plots.

Trade plots are available and we are currently contacting local traders within the northeast, if you would like to attend on the day please let us know so we can allocate space for you.

Police will be notified of the meet, and best behaviour is requested within the car park and surrounding streets at all times and a speed limit of 10mph will be enforced on site by the marshalls"

I would be interested in attending this meeting, as my car has had £5,000 of modifications done to it and is well fast.
