I'd imagine that the firewall between engine and cabin would be the best place to sound deaden if you want the engine noise reduced. Bit of a a hassle though.

i have the engine jacket fitted to mine, and it certainly does reduce the din that you get when cruising at a steady speed.

I think I might have to invest in one of these, ta for the part number

I just contacted the local Seat dealer and lied lol saying I had an Ibiza. They are saying there are two differnt jackets, 038103954E and 038103954G. I think one is for the ASZ engine which I have and the other for the BLT engine. Can anyone confirm this?. They quoted me £51 for it. I don't want to order the wrong one!.

One is made from felt, the other from badgers pubic hair.

Just get the one for ASZ engine, although I can not see why they would have a different one for the BLT
