Hi I bought my Fabia a few weeks ago everything is fine apart from no air con, yesterday I was on a long drive (300 miles) and pushed the aircon button and I started to hear a hissing noise nothing has ever happend like that before with it and tried it a few times and still this hiss. Now I have tried the air con again this morning and nothing, I did have my car VAG COM checked (Thanks Steve) and it said something about the evap sensor faulty so could it be due to the sensor or something more serious (Expensive).

EVAP sensor if duff, prevents aircon from working, There's a DIY in technical if you want to have a go. Worth having the aircon discharged and regassed as well. Could be low on coolant and this oil, which is mixed in with the coolant.
