There are very few media players that will take a SDHC card ...

Do you mean apart from the Columbus in my Superb II, which has the latest firmware? :)

Hi Ray - what fw does your columbus have?

Cannot check mine, but it was built wk 42 - does not accept sdhc cards:thumbdwn:

Thanks

My firmware is 2664, downloaded via a link provided within this Forum.

Just back from a three day trip to York and Yorkshire. During the whole 600 plus mile journey we only saw ONE new Superb, and that was on the way back on the Edinburgh by-pass. Saw hundreds of BMW's though!!.

Interesting - I hardly see any Superbs either - there are a couple being used as Taxis around here, but that's it. However, from what I'm led to believe, demand is huge (as it should be - what a cracking car). But my local dealer has a 170CR SE sitting on his forecourt that's been there for ages. I'm wondering whether it's because it's an SE and there's so small a price gap between SE and Elegance that most people go for the Elegance. What does anyone else think?

The monthly leasing cost is 525 for 3yrs or 72k miles, whichever comes first

I should do the mileage in 2.5 years;)

Can I ask who your leasing company is. That looks to be a good price

Thanks

Even 11 months on, the Superb is still a rare sight on British roads. I estimate having seen no more than twenty since January. Compare this against the ubiquitous BMW 3 Series!

about a third of the taxis in falmouth now appear to be superbs and octavias, to me that is a good sign if all the taxi drivers are purchasing them, i dont recall ever seeing one that isnt a taxi actually

Your firmware will be 1164, which is the latest for rev. A and B Columbus units. The rev. C Columbus (introduced in build week 45) has 2664 as standard, and I'm told that 2684 will shortly be introduced. You can get both 2664 and 2684 firmware for use with your Columbus, but installing it will void the Skoda warranty.

Personally, I've just updated mine to 2664, and am very happy with it. I've also got a copy of the 1164 firmware CD, so that I can downgrade again if I ever need to take the car in for warranty work on the Columbus.

Right now, I'd recommend avoiding the 2684 firmware CD that is available, as this is a factory CD and this wipes all map data and music from the HDD and also sets the coding back to default values. This can cause problems if you have the sound system, as you will no longer hear anything until you recode the Columbus with VCDS.
