Custom Code Review

Featured Replies

Afternoon chaps,

Just returned from having my car custom-coded :D

Scottish weather however has stopped me doing any real tests as it starting peeing it down the minute they phoned to say my car was ready :(

First impressions though, the idle is a hell of a lot smoother than it was before which is lovely.Obviously 1st and 2nd gear are totally useless now (in the wet anyway) but the power delivery is very very smooth.

Its quite strange because it doesn't seem to throw you back in your seat as violently however the speedo needle certainly climbs a lot quicker.

So at this stage all I can say is I'm a happy chap and I hope the bloody sun comes out soon!!

Good to hear, what car has it been thrown on? I ran C-C for years and never had any issue with the performance for a basic remap :D

Sounds good

If you don't mind me asking, where did you get it done and how much did it set the old wallet back by, as I'm moving to Glasgow soon and am looking into remaps?

Right sorry for the delay in this follow up!

The roads dried up the next day so I got to go out and have a proper play with the new map!

Awesome :D

The car no longer has that sledge hammer like power delivery that it had before, just continual smooth acceleration with the torque being spread more evenly across the rev range now.

In gear pick up times are fantastic and overtaking is made so much easier. It is VERY easy to hit silly speeds quite quickly so will have to watch now :)

THIS is how the car should have left the factory!

I got the map done in Aberdeen at Motorwerks by Dave, cost was £305 all in for a stage 1 map.

Cheers,

John

Forgot all about my question, thanks :)
