I have owned my 2001 Fabia since April 2008 and have had 4 common faults:-

1. Coolant temperature sensor - changed it myself

2. Rear doors leaked - Sealed with bathroom sealant, had a couple of goes but seems to be OK now.

3. Steering angle sensor - Changed by local garage, didn't fancy doing it myself.

4. Evaporator Temperature sensor (or dog sensor as the spares man called it) - Changed it myself today, will hopefully fix the air conditioning. Took less than 1.5 hours.

I just wanted to say a big thank you to all those you have contributed to this forum by their technical guides and comments, it really helps. I also invested in a stand alone diagnostic tool which has already paid for itself.

Perhaps someone would like to predict the next common fault!!

Suspension bushes ?
