Throttle issue.

Featured Replies

Normally my roomster is driven at WOT.

However , when SWMBO is in the car , I have to drive like a granny to avoid permanent damage to my hearing.

When driving around 20mph , and on the tiniest bit of throttle , there appears to be a flat spot , and the engine "dies" - a gentle press of the throttle resumes the power , but I can kangeroo like a goodun ..

Anyone else experience this ?

What engine / revs for starters? Most likely something to do with the EGR, or perhaps the turbo if you have one...

around 2k , and the 105PS TD engine. Sorry for being a bit vague !

1900rpm is where the turbo kicks in if I'm not mistaken - I'd be looking at driving 'around' it...
