Could any of you pop outside and check the amp rating of your alternator please? I just want to double check that i have the Correct one fitted :thumbup:

That might explain the epic fail of my 90A alternator, and all the problems i've had since day 1 with the charging system! (look at my old threads and note a pattern)

Hmm, I can only find two ratings: 70A for the petrols and 120A for the diesels... :confused:

Ok, I've just spoken to skoda, given them a chassis number and they're adament that it should be 90amps? also I've noticed that the drivebelt appears to be very tight, is there a way on the spring loaded tensioner to ease off the tension a little bit?
