VRS intake pipe bigger than Pd100 bhp intake pipe?

Featured Replies

Guys,

I'm keen on fitting a bigger Intake pipe on my 2002 Fabia (1.9 TDi 100bhp).

I've read about the PD160 intake pipes, but I'm not inclined to spend £80 on two bits of plastic.

Does anyone know if the regular VRS fabia intake pipe will fit mine, and if so, is it any bigger than the one on my car now?

Dont think it is.

If your car isn't mapped then I wouldn't bother, you won't see any benefit.

Pretty sure it's the same size.

thanks for the replies guys.

Sarah, did the 160 intake make any difference to the car?

Oooh yes :D

Especially with the panel filter

I noticed quite a bit

I did actually have the panel filter fitted before the PD160 intake , both made a difference , but mainly the intake

I have had mine mapped (not massive as I wanted MPG and BHP (being female we want the best of all worlds) and now I have 141bhp and return all but 70ish MPG :D alot more grins too

I do 148 miles per day to get to work and back and dont like to hang abot...if you know what I mean

To be honest , the remap and the rear ARB have to be the best 2 mods I have done to date

So definately  to the map too

Wow I had no idea that this engine can be mapped to produce 140bhp! I was thinking more along the lines of an extra 20bhp.

We have seen these up to 150 ish

So plenty to be done ;)

I love my car , it is on 161k miles and still on the clutch she came out the factory

I love her....she looks after me :D

I don't like this thread...it's going to cost me money

Sorry
