08 vrs

Featured Replies

Hi there,

went to look at this car last night:

Fords of Winsford. The Original Car Supermarket in Cheshire.=

Very impressed, i have currently have a 06 focus st and wish to get something a little bit bigger and cheaper to run.

I would appreciated any comments/thoughts you might have

Steve

No pictures but I think it's a bit overpriced, price guide I checked reckoned an 08 car with that milage should retail for about £1,000 less and if its a 58 about £500 less.

A bit of room for negotiation I think.

For a couple of grand more, Motorpoint are doing a delivery mileage CR 170vRS.

Tempted? I am....

Motorpoint - View Stock

Bear in mind these are imports and are pre facelift models, they also have non UK spec such as 17" alloys instead of 18" etc

Picking my Black Magic up on September 1st and I can't wait!!!

>Smug Mode = ON< :D

.....and?

2yr warranty so I'm adding another year for £295

I've just bout a set of 18" Zenons for £300

Its got cruise and there is a possibility it will have Maxidot and rear leccy wins.

As for pre-facelift - personally I thing the new ones look like a dogs dinner / 5 Series (same thing) and given the fact that a facelift one would have cost me significantly more, I'm pretty happy with the deal!

That said, you are right to point out the differences and I would also add that Motorpoint offer perhaps the worst trade-in pricing I've ever seen!

Looks a bit pricy when compared to a new one from Drive the Deal:

Skoda Octavia 2.0T FSI vRS 5dr £14,889 Save 18.5%

Except mine's a 170 CR TDi............

18" Zeniths ;)

I've bought cars from Motorpoint before, and never had an import. Take the point about part-ex valuations though - not great, but then who is at the moment (scrappage deals aside)?

So how much did you pay for it?

And did you get the 1.5% or 3% Skoda finance rates from DTD?

I thought 17" were the standard uk spec with 18" as an option

Used to be 18" became standard a while ago along with the jumbo box and rear electric windows

£14,750 and I had the funds already.

Given that I've just sold my 60K 54 Punto for £3750 that means in effect a VRS for £11K which I reckon is pretty good.......

I'm pleased anyway

From the pics it looks as if its got Jumbo and other people who've bought them have mentioned Maxidot and rear electrics but I'm not counting my chickens just yet.

and yeah, I cocked up on the name of the wheels
