Driver's Side Door Handle Cap?

Featured Replies

Some one tried to sc*w my door on my VRS, had the lock replaced by Alex Lawrie Skoda Liverpool £55 inc fitting which i was very happy with.

However they have buggered the cap that sits over the lock, Skoda have said its £5 for a new one plus £10 to have it painted.

Does anyone know if they just clip off or if its a take the handle off job, they dont seem to know and i dont wanna order the part if i cant fit it easily

Cheers

if its the small piece that sits behind the handle that covers the lock barrel then clipped on.

You can buy a de-lock kit from Skoda, to get rid of the key hole on the drivers door all together. Mine has one fitted.

As far as I know that cover just clips on.

It is all a matter of personal choice whether to remove the key slot or not and depends, I guess, on where the car may be parked.

Personally I find that in summer I use the key function to open and close all the windows and the sunroof simultaneously to be a boon and have retained the key slot.

I got an Alientech for that :)
