Couple of strange things been happening with my mkII octy vRS :confused:

1) When i pull away in the car the doors lock themselves and the little key light comes on nr the hand brake (anti hi-jack thing) , then when i pull up and take the key out of the ignition the doors unlock themselves , however last few days when i first pull away the doors lock then unlock 3 / 4 times over a mile or so before settling down and locking fully , phoned the dealers and their advice was to try using the key to unlock / lock the drivers door , open & shutting all the doors . Done this but its still doing this but its not all the time :confused:

2) Then i park up and turn the ignition off and leave the key in ignition , the radio / interior lights usually stay on until i pull the key out , however lately when i do this the radio turns off then about a minute later comes on for 30secs before going off again ??? & as soon as the key is removed it stays off

Think i have got electrical gremlins

Try disconnecting the battery for 10 minutes or so to reset the convenience module, they get a bit confused sometimes

Will give that a try tomorrow thanks , failing that i,m off to the dealers with it lol

Check the boot is fully closed too.

Some members with estates have had to get their boot locks adjusted as they didnt line up and caused issues. But this also happened when locking the car using the fob.

IIRC the symptoms show up when using the boot release button on the fob.
