Judder / stutter 2.0FSI 4x4

Featured Replies

Hi all

I have an 06 2.0FSI Petrol 4x4 and have had a new clutch when having some warranty work on the gear box. (28000 on the clock).

The car isn't smooth through the rev range though, and is worst cruising at around 30 mph in 3rd. I think it's getting worse though. I expected this issue to be resolved with the other work. The Skoda dealer said they couldn't find the problem and have lodged it as a fault with Skoda Customer Services but I've not heard anything back. I'm pretty sure it's not electical as I had the RAC give it the full work over when a coil pack went on me recently. I'm not having much luck with it so far unfortunately - my previous Skoda was really reliable!

Any ideas?

Thanks

Did you get a new flywheel when you changed the clutch. My Impreza suffered the common problem with the flywheel becoming warped and i had to replace it. This produced a prety bad judder.

No, I don't think I did get a new flywheel.

Reading about the topic I'm getting more convinced its a transmission issue in the clutch or drivetrain somewhere.

Any other thoughts anyone?

thanks
