Anyone got a Nokia N86???

Featured Replies

My contract with Vodafone runs out this month so i'm looking at a new phone. I was all set to go for an iPhone 3gs but am still not happy at taking a step backwards with the camera side of things,(Currently have an N95 8gb), so have all but dropped the idea of going for the iphone. I quite like the look of the new Nokia N86 so wondered if anyone had anything to say about it?

I'll be moving over to o2 with the new phone as i have transferred to Network Rail this year and o2 are the phone provider of NR. As an employee i get a 30% reduction on my monthly bill. For £35ish a month i can have 600 mins and 1000 texts along with unlimited internet. After my discount this'll work out at around £25ish and the phone is around £45.

So any N86 owners out there????

Cheers

Dave.

I wouldn't place too much importance on the quality of pics taken with your phone, as, unless you go for one of the new 8 to 12 MP phones, there really isn't that much in it. True, the iphone doesn't have a flash and the low light pics are carp, but for mobile phone snaps in good light it isn't really too bad.

Comparison : N95 5MP camera:

For what it does, and the ease of use, I'd go Iphone over N86 TBH.

The camera is only one side of it. The other thing stopping me getting the iPhone is that i use TomTom Traffic which updates via bluetooth and my mobile data connection. According to TomTom the iPhone is only usable for making/receiving calls via bluetooth and not for use with TomTom Traffc.

aha I see, well in that case you need to get yourself a BMW with Professional sat nav built in, it has traffic updates at no extra cost!:D
