Ebay FMIC

Featured Replies

No it shouldn't touch the MAF sensor. I think blue looks good on a red car.

Yea i thought the blue/red looked good too....so will i need to buy anything else to get it to fit? Im a little concerned as I cant see an brackets on the top of the i/c which other on ebay have.

Make sure this Flea-Bay one is for the Octy vRS, as I cannot see how your going to make the return around the back of the FMIC with all those bent pipes, unless they are selling you a Golf one as correct for the Octy, in which case you will have to return the pipes across the top of the engine.

The two photos show how the ABD Racing FMIC fitted to my old Octy vRS, and there you can see the long straight return pipe that returns around the back of the FMIC.

The two brackets you can see on the fmic go to the bottom of the fmic and bolt under the rads, one bracket also holding the long straight pipe.

That looks a really smart set up, where did you get all your bits from? How much roughly did it cost? Those pics really helped my understand how im going to do it.

Think ill be better getting the intercooler, then the pipes seperately.

Im quite looking forward to the project.

It's a full kit you buy from ABD

Those pics look familiar Gerry :D

As Jay has stated, its a full kit from ABD Racing, and although not too cheap, it works really well on the Octy vRS and gives "NO" lag at all, "BUT", if your going down the DIY route, then give Martzinuk a PM, as he did his own, well, based on countless photos from moi that is, and he made a really good job of it, and at a lot less than the ABD one, but with all the benefits.

Martz' is a nice bloke and I know will give all, and any assistance that he can, I have added a link to Martz' fmic fitment, and it's a terrific job and very well done.
