So with all that new found power, I destroyed my turbo in no time, awww yeah! So got this :

I was rather impressed with the time on the day

Now the Santa Pod visit claimed my N/S engine mount that day, and infact it went on the run in the video! So limped it back home again from Santa Pod (for the 2nd time!) and replaced the engine mount, and the next thing that needed doing was, the brakes. The brakes had been on since 2006 with the 312mm and really needed changing at this stage, but rather than going OEM, I upgraded again. For the front....

CRN grooved 312mm brakes

with a hint of Ferodo Racing

For the rears, I got matching CRN grooved discs and just the OEM pads, as the rears do very little as it is!

Thing with new brakes is, they need fitting.. so here goes...

They were a little worn..

So anyway moving on, we kept busy!

Thanks, I am trying to get it up to date, so here is a few more updates from the past.... 2009 past too!

I popped down to GTi Inters and I ran the car on the sunday (albeit still abit pished!) to see if I could at least match my old time of 13.83 down at Santa Pod! Well I did, and infact did one better and ran a 13.533 this meant I ran not only the fastest time in my class or sunday, but also the fastest time of ANY seat on sunday, and also the fastest of ANY diesel all weekend, and also the fastest of ANY seat all weekend infact! So I got a nice award showing just that here are a few pictures!

 

Well here we go, its a HUGE update for me, I think anyone who has spoken to me over the last bloody 6 months or so, if not LONGER have heard me going on and on about this mod, which I finally have done! Its a good one, and im sure you will all agree, dont quote me on exact figures yet, but it feels to rev harder to the red line now, and maybe a tad more power between too! I expect around 30bhp increase if not more!

So in my usual fashion of taking ages to get round to update my car thread, here is a update from Shakey Raceway 1/4 day I went to in October.

Beginning of the day, Diesels where assigned their own race numbers...

Of course, start how you mean to go on. I was D1 :good:

So after them spotting a chunk hanging off my tyre wall, I was made to change it..

Then onto the runs!

Of course, a picture of the time I ran [1/4 slips to follow at some point]

Doh! 2nd gear launch at 1,000rpm FTW!

Anyway, only got three runs so here is me waiting...

Correct! Which was a tad annoying as the GTO actually went BANG on that run so I let off :(

IIRC I ran the slowest terminal speed of the day with that run, but got the fastest 1/4 time! Got the launch down really well, and the GTO shot off but then went popped coolant out everywhere, so I let off as at first thought his tyre had blown. But then booted it past him but lost time. I honestly think to this day that would have been a mid 13!
