Bluetooth kit - how to use it?

Featured Replies

Recently I found that my car has a Bluetooth kit installed, but the problem is that I don't understand how to use it. I locked my phone (Nokia N78) successfully via Bluetooth to my car's system. So far, so good! But when somebody calls me, I can't actually answer the call. I tried all buttons on my Stream audio panel - no one hangs up. Just a "Phone..." text appears on the display, and the phone ring melody plays via car's loudspeakers.

Could you please help me to make a call :)

Which kit do you have?

I don't really know. Probably an original factory kit. The code for Bluetooth locking is 1234 - the same code is described in my user's manual.

My phone founds "Skoda_UHV" as a device.

Skoda UHV is the OEM equipment.

Do you have Maxidot?? If so look in the maxidot menu and you should see 'Phone'.

No, I don't have a Maxidot, I have a standard LED display. Nothing phone related appears on it...

On my Stream display appears "Phone..."

If you don't have Maxidot and you don't have RNS510 then you don't really have a way to access the OEM BT other than to have the ability to accept calls using the button under the right hand stalk.

...which is rather comfortable, IMHO, and the only option I have too (with maxidot and Stream MP3).

But I guess you'll have the menu in your maxidot.

Yes I have, but the lower stalk button is needed anyway to select the option, but perhaps I remember wrong.

You miss the point - Without Maxidot OR RNS510 how can he see his phonebook and BT functions

Just tried - the only way to answer the phone call is to do it on my phone. Then I can proceed the call via BT. Aswering the calls by pressing the button under the right hand stalk doesn't work. The caller's voice quality via speakers is awful :rotz:

Ok,

I got it, I just meant that in order to accept incoming calls the button was enough. But now I can't understand how's that evin is not able to answer an incoming call by using it.

I'm pretty sure it worked so with my old 6310i, when using bluetooth. Is the N78 fully supported?

no maxidot= can only answer with the stalk

with maxidot= you can make and receive calls with the phone menu on the maxidot main menu.

Please excuse my ignorance (never had or used Bluetooth before).

Is BT available as a Skoda standalone option or is it only available when you option the MFSW with BT? I'm guessing if you have the latter you can receive (make?) calls by pressing a button on the steering wheel?

Is it possible this function to be enabled using VAG-COM? At the moment I can only hang up on my phone directly, which is... dangerous on the move.
