Ordering vRS FL DSG with the MFSW, am I right in thinking I get Maxidot??

Cheers.

Pretty sure DSG includes Maxidot for the gear indication.

When I read the sales pack it sounds like the MFSW FOR the maxidot not with. That's why I wondered if I needed to add maxidot itself. Cheers.

You get both the maxidot and the paddle gearshifters as standard when you choose MFSW (on a DSG-equipped vRS).

I think it's been answered above but DSG does not require Maxidot as the half-height display can show the gear/shifter position. Brimma has this in his car

Hi, yes I tested a pre FL DSG and that had the LCD display NOT maxidot. That's why I got a bit worried, I want the maxi. Anyway, is'nt the maxidot needed for the bluetooth??

No. You can still have basic control.

Maxidot is still an extra option you could buy.

So is the maxidot def standard with the DSG?

No, an optional extra.

If you want the MFSW and maxidot as a factory optional extra, then you can but only with DSG.

Actually, this info may be wrong; it's the radio control buttons and paddle shifters that are standard. I was thinking about the factory option MFSW for the SE and Elegance which comes with maxidot. The brochure doesn't list maxidot as a standard feature for the vRS (manual or DSG) but it would be available as a factory option for 125 quid.

Ok, will check with Skoda themselves in the morning as dealer says I get MD but not so sure hence me checking here. Will let you all know what's what.

I'm in the same boat, assuming Maxidot was needed with DSG to show current gear (sure I picked this up from the forum), but have just had it confirmed from Marlborough that Maxidot is not standard with DSG. Too late now as the car is built and on its way!! What price a retrofit?

Approx £300 to retrofit Maxidot.

Pretty sure DSG includes Maxidot for the gear indication.

Nope, DSG on the 140PD has an indicator on the normal trip computer display. :thumbdwn:

EDIT - I see this has already been answered by many

Spoken to Skoda who confirmed the Maxidot is NOT standard and you either order it as an extra for £125, or, go with the bluetooth and telephone for MFSW which includes the Maxidot. So, since I went for the latter, this includes the full monty. Phew!

Got e-mail from very helpful skoda chap, so I can waive this around if it turns up without the maxidot.

Unless you ordered it, and paid extra for it, as per the brochure you wont have it.

I ordered and payed for the MFSW with bluetooth and telephone function which includes the Maxidot. AFAIR its £450 extra.

Then you will have maxidot then.

Yes, Skoda confirmed the Maxidot is NOT standard on the vRS, but agreed the wording in the sales pack was a bit cyptic. Anyway, if you want the Maxidot, you either pay £125 for it, or pay £450 for the full monty and get the Maxidot, BT and stereo controls with the DSG paddle shift. (as I done)

My Mazda6 has radio controls on the wheel as standard, odd the Skoda don't do this, but anyway..
