I have a 2nd hand 2005 2.0TDI Sport I like the subtle styling, lower insurance & lower price than a VRS. I've done 43k in my 17 months (101k) & I still like it.

Sports are still available & popular in Germany (well last time I checked) however they were very rare in UK & were dropped once the VRS came out.

Having said that, I managed to see TWO last week, a red one in Bradford on Avon, Wiltshire & a black one near Warrington, Chesire.

I can't really comment on the merits or otherwise of the petrol version though.
