Skoda take third IRC win in a row

Featured Replies

Jan Kopecky won the Rallye Principe Asturias in Spain this weekend, 9th round of the IRC. Skoda were on for a 1-2 but Skoda Spain driver Alberto Hevia got a puncture on the penultimate stage after a fantastic performance, the poor sod was driving through the stage literally crying:

Highlights are on Eurosport, Tuesday evening 10:15pm

I was hopefully going to say a Skoda driver has won the European Rallycross Championship. Unfortunately because of dropped scores Micheal Jernberg came second in the championship. Sverre Isachsen in a Focus won it with Mr Hanson 3rd. I think Jernberg has been leading the series up until this last round.

I know its not rallying, but I did not want to start a new thread with this disappointing news.

Congratulations to Kopecky anyway.
