Hello everyone! I recently found this forum whilst trying to find out more information about my Skoda Fabia. It's my first car, so it's only a 2005 1.2 Fabia but it has been great to drive for the past 4 months.

I'm due a service in the next few weeks and I was hoping someone could give me some advice on the average cost for a service for 29k Fabia 1.2, for example are there any parts that need changing after 4 years such as the timing belt etc.

I'm based in Bristol so if anyone knows of any good reliable garages then I would greatly appriecate the advice!

Thanks!

Hiya.

4 years is the big one; cam belt, all filters, brake fluid, and you might think about changing the coolant (it's "long life", not "infinite life", and you don't know the history of any topups that were done).

I thought so, but doesn't the 1.2 have a timing belt instead of cam belt? Does this still need replacing after 4 years? Any estimates on a price for these changes, mainly the cam/timing belt change?

Thanks!

welcome along

Timing belt and cam belt are 2 different names for the same thing.
