octavia fl scout

Featured Replies

saw my first octavia fl scout today, thought i,d put this up to see if i,m the first to see one, or is this old news? :)

farmers in nottingham had 6 sat outside a few weeks back, still covered in plastic though

There was one in Ossett (sp?) and a demo in Devises.

I will hopefully pick my own up in 3 weeks time.

Got any pics to make me jealous?

I should add that despite playing "Skoda Spotting" with the wife for the last 6 weeks neither of us has yet seen a Scout on the road (to win the game, and save her ever playing it again), let alone a FL one.

Where did you see it?

:thumbup:If your around Manchester you could see mine ? cheers - Stuart. ( would post pic but don't know how to do it ) :o

What colour did you get?

If it's Anthracite then I would love to see a picture....

i've not seen a FL one on the road yet either...

hopefully i'll pick mine up in 4-5 weeks as there have been a couple of delays (radio's etc), i ordered mine on 4th Aug (its Satin Grey)

Foo - when did you order yours

Edited by kumquat
add colour

I ordered it on 17 August.

I was initially told build week was "mid october" but I called last week and they are saying "build week 39" now. So might get it by mid October.

I went for the 1.8 though which might speed it up a little.

I'll believe it when I see it.

I have a few extra's on it so I am surprised it has been brought forward. Unless it is a mistake.

cool, keep us posted....

i've gone for the TDI, with a few extra as well

hopefully they will both be earlier than expected (but as you say i'm not holding my breath)

This was the one in Ossett. I didnt see it myself, my old man went to check it out.

thanks for posting the pic, it looks great

although the ground clearance will worry the VRS boys

:o Sorry kumquat, I have took some pics but not managed to post them yet, but this pic is my colour - Satin grey. cheers - Stuart.

Hi Stuart, don't worry about it - is was pretty sure that it was satin grey

how are you finding your scout?

Is this Aqua Blue or Satin Grey?

Go on then, I'll start. Needs lowering by a foot at least.

 Its brill at towing the caravan, there is a type of turbo lag / delay when setting off in first gear which seems to be going away which I am blaming on a tight engine ? but its my first 4x4 so its just getting used to the extra pushing from the back wheels, it sticks to the road like glue, if you have a factory towbar fitted, beware as mine wasn't wired for the battery charge/fridge connection ( had to change the 13 pin socket and put the extra wires in to the loom/fusebox ) that a caravan needs. Just need some wet grass/mud now to try out the Haldex. Just cleaned it tonight so will take some pics tomm. cheers - Stuart.

How about this one ?

Here's mine

That colour looks loads better in your picture than in the showroom. Much less 'washed out'.

Hi Stuart,

thats one nice looking motor....

As foo mentioned it looks a lot better out in the real world, can't wait for mine to arrive now. Glad to hear that it drives as well as it looks

Jon

Another couple of pics of the 'satin grey' or light blue metallic

That looks fantastic.

I have the envy and am suffering chronic impatience for mine now.

:thumbup:Its worth the wait.

Another couple of pics of the 'satin grey' or light blue metallic

Now you are just showing off......:P very nice indeed, thanks for posting them

Stuart,

one quick question...the online scout brochure seems to suggest that the car has folding mirrors?

3. Retractable external mirrors automatically retract when holding

down the “lock” button on the remote control.

can you confirm or is it marketing propaganda
