Interior Mods

Featured Replies

I have been reading several reviews tonight about the Fabia and they all say that the interior is the usual 'Skoda interior', not as nice as the VW's or Audi's but all the same VAG. i have neverr driven a fabia but have driven an octavia, albeit a couple of years ago. i though the interior was a bit drab and wasn't anything to shout about but im sure they could have made it much nicer.

in light of reflex88's thread, where he installed footwell lights and painted the air vents silver, which i think looked quite cool, i was just wondering what people have done to make their interiors look better, more sporty. sleak, attractive etc

if its not too much trouble could people post some pictures of their interior?

all the best

Alex

and again body coloured vents.

i'm sure theres a few more mods possible. like the VW Bora and Golf chrome seatbelt things that hold them to the pillars :)

For why you have 2 ASR buttons Leon?

Body coloured vents totally changes the look of the dash in my opinion - especially when you look back at the original ones afterwards! Im loving the footwell lights in the other thread, they compliment the puddle lights in the doors

The other major thing that transforms the interior is leather, but not everyone can afford to have that done!

In that case you should've got an ESP button (Yeah i know, Hens teeth)

got to admit those black, mirror finished vents look quality! where did you get them from?

I'd just like to say, I looked at all of your vents on here, and NinjaAlex's & Devontopia's in the flesh before I did mine... So thanks for the idea! ;) I debated Magic black ones for ages but I really wanted something lighter... hence my silver :D

Cheers - I painted them myself. Just keyed the vents with some sandpaper, then went to the Skoda dealers and bought the spray can pack thats available, You get one body colour, and one laquer. It was £8 if I remember correctly, and just used some grey plastic primer before applying those. Left to sit in a warm place for two days then refitted carefully!

Heres how to remove vents, without credit cards etc, using just one blunt knife. Slide the knife at the point shown in the photo and push the knife downwards, it will lift the vent up and out. Grab the lifted end with one hand and hold, whilst you do the same to the other end, and hey presto! Dismantling the vent itself is fairly self explanatory.

Si.

Awww, the good old dinner knife... Where would I be with out it! It's the ultimate car interior remover!

Quite often get told of by SWMBO, as they start accumulating in my tool box and we can't figure out why we have no knifes! HA!
