MFD3 Wiring Diagram

Featured Replies

Good afternoon all,

I am currently trying to install a sub and amp in my Octy 2 VRS (09 Ltd edition) which is equipped with MFD3, as this has no RCA outputs, i need to install a line level converter into one on the speaker cables.

What I need to know, and hope one of you good people can tell me, is which cables coming out of the back of the HU / wiring loom are speaker cables?

Also, does anyone know if there is a un-used switched live in the back of the MFD3, i found somewhere on here that another HU does, so thought maybe the MFD3 does too?

If anyone has any info that can help me, it would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Dan

Columbus does have line outs on the back, you just need to get the appropriate wiring and make your own connections.

There is no switched live supply behind the headunit, the supply into the columbus is always on and the headunit is switched on/off via a canbus signal. For a switched supply you are going to have to go for a connection in the fusebox.

Forgot to ask, does the pin marked as "amp" act as a remote to switch the amp on?
