What you LE and FL VRS Owners have been waiting for

It still doesn't give manual gearbox drivers what they want & that's a MFSW though.

Why you can only have a MFSW with DSG is stupid and beyond any sensible reason, loads of other cars have the MFSW without DSG, so why is it Skoda think that it's compulsory to have DSG to have it?

That's probably losing them sales.

Yep, must admit when I saw the first pic, I thought they'd finally released a non DSG pic. Someone pointed it out to me just after I'd posted this thread. I Still can't work out Skoda's thinking here. Why not just take the paddles off and stick some blanking plates in their place?

Too right. I'm missing my steering wheel controls so it's a must have for my next car. Looks like a Mazda6 for me...

Whatever did we do before MFSW's came into existence ?

I certainly wouldn't let it put me off buying a car if I really liked it

It depends what the alternatives are. If I really liked it and couldn't find anything else then fair play. If I really liked something else as well it might swing the decision.

Until you've had it, you don't necessarily realise what all the fuss is about. The additional safety alone means its a must have in my book. Jeez my last car a Punto HGT Multijet had a full MFSW so why Skoda can't do it is beyond me.

I didn't let it put me off buying The Skud but I am looking at the possibility of retrofitting a Golf MFSW and airbag..........

Perhaps its yet another "distinguishing feature" to Audi / VW. Perhaps we as Skoda owners are asking too much and if we want these things we should by a VW or Audi on the first place. That said, Skodas are no longer "cheap" and if the prices keep creeping up you may as well do that anyway! ;)

You can still have a MFSW for a manual, it's just that it's 4 spoke not 3.

Are you sure? Almost every other thread on this topic, the Octavia brochure and the Skoda website itself all seem to indicate that having MFSW on a vRS is not on unless you also get the DSG gearbox.

Thats if you order from the factory. There is no issue about retro fitting a 4 spoke MFSW to a vRS.

Ditto for me. I know not being able to at least alter my volume and track/station would drive me mad over three years. If there was no other option then it wouldn't stop me buying, but there's plenty of alternatives.

Sad really, because the VRS was in the top two of my list.

(The dealer said to me that I categorically could not have a MFSW without DSG)

Just order one with 3 spoke, then retro fit. Shark_90 would be able to do it for you no problem.

My question is if you get the 4 spoke wheel do you still get bluetooth? I have been told that to have a manual Vrs I must have a Parrot kit for my bluetooth phone.

Bluetooth can be retro fitted as wheel as MFSW

Couldnt agree more with the comments regarding loosing sales. I have recently chnged from a VRS PD to a Mazda 6 185 Sport. I will admit it was a tight call but the 6 came with BT built in and a MFSW. If the manual VRS ad these I would be sitting behind he wheel of a shiny new 59 plate VRS. But it doesnt so I am not.
