apps for the ipod touch/iphone

Featured Replies

I have and ipod touch 1st gen i have downloaded the new software 3.1.1. no probs with that.

but i will be getting an iphone 3gs soon, my question is i have seen good reports on the co pilot sat nav software, the price is £26 soon to go up to full price £50ish

if i download the software will it be "locked" to the itouch or will it be ok for the phone in the future.

hope i have explained my self there, and insight would be greatfully recived

thanks tom

I believe the apps are tied to the device that downloaded them.

Can't you download on iTunes then just install from there. It shouldn't care if it syncs your library (and apps) with an iTouch or iPhone surely.

But doesn't the ipod touch need to be connected to wifi to use satnav as it doesn't have a built in gps??? Hence not really much use as a satnav anyway.

Cheers

Dave.
