fabia vrs clutch slip

Featured Replies

hello dudes, new to the forum but as a fabia vrs owner with177bhp and 330lb/ft the clutch slip thing is something i am having to deal with aswell, although i can still use the power by gently lifting off the throttle at the right point then planting it again, many people are saying by fitting the sachs setup that they are not getting any slip but are still getting the flywheel judder, now my point is that yes its great not having to deal with clutch slip, but the fly wheel judder is surly still not a good sign as this means that it will be slowly rattling the flywheel to bits instead, is there not a cheap alternative way of replacing both items (not all of us have the money to blow on a £800 helix setup) by raiding the vag parts bins, i have been told that possibly a audi tt or mk3 golf 16v flywheel and golf vr6 clutch may be a solution if anyone else has heard or tryed this i would apperciate any info, confused.gif

i have simular power as you after my remap but i went for the clutch option. never had slip and only have judder if i accidently floor it at to lower revs. dont think you cant have torque like we have without getting the clutch. other people have there remaps limited torque if there sticking with the standard clutches. 300+ = new clutch.

thanks for the advice, i have seen organic type perfomance clutch kits on ebay for around the £200 mark this seems resonable or is there a make of clutch that could be recomended?

beware of Ebay cheap clutch kits , some of them are of dubious quality

also beware of impossible performance! they suck and waste everyones time

I'd be carefull making statements like that without backing them up.

Perhaps you've had a bad experience, but i'm sure they have lots of happy customers too.

True, not the right place to post my rants.

My sincere apologies.
