I give up on Skoda

Like the original Fabia then:rofl:

Skodas are meant to be the ordinary arm of VAG, something they do very well indeed. If you want an honest, fairly good quality motor that doesnt look like its been overdesigned (SEAT) by someone with absolutely no taste, and you dont want to pay a premium for a badge (VW and Audi) then Skoda are your men:thumbup:

Agreed I dont understand why people assume them to look super amazing..ITS A SKODA!! Even the old mk1 fabia vrs was a great car. My god it was no looker! And I had a good look at an ibiza recently and while the front looks aggresive, the back of it looks wrong. But each to there own.

I think that tings move on. The original car was unique because it offered good performance and excellent economy with hatch practicality for a very reasonable £12k. If a new model comes out it will not be anywhere near as good value and will not have the uniqueness of the original.

The original car was a one off.

Not really , no.

Yes , it was a fairly standard supermini , but it was well proportioned and lent itself well to a hotter version.

Add to that an attractive price compared to the competition and pretty good performance and economy and they were onto a winner.

The new car is an odd shape , isn't as keenly priced and we don't know what engines will end up in there.

I guess we will never agree:P, I think the Mk1 Fabia has an awful dashboard and very oddball looks. I dont dislike it at all, its just I much prefer the Mk2... and as I got mine for much less than 10k with the offer and zero finance interest, it was a bargain:thumbup:

With the Mk1, its the rear I dont like, its just weird... I think they look best in saloon form. Must say Im not 100% struck on the hatch in Mk2 form, but I just love the estate, it looks just right in my eyes.

I see you have a Bravo, Im very much a fan of Fiat having owned about 14 of them! But, the current Bravo is just another car, whereas the original was something else, it had class and style missing from many cars in the mid 90s... I gave up on Fiat this year, too much poor service from them over 12 years was enough:rolleyes:
