Skoda Mats

Featured Replies

I am thinking of buying skoda fitted mats but have noticed that my car does not have the mounts fitted to the floor, unlike another fabia.

Do they take much fitting and is it worth doing ??

I bought official skoda ones and they came with fittings to screw into carpet. All goes in very easily. They just screw into carpet, far more securely than your brain says it should! Go for it, saves ever vacuuming again, just 'sweep it under the rug' :P

I got some, and the fronts had the mounts already in place but not the rear... however they do mount very securely as said.

why do you need to damage the carpet with mounts. if they're rubber backed they should provide some grip

I was lucky, i told the dealer how poor i was and he chucked free Fabia mats into the deal - rather nice they are too.

Securely mounted and can be removed easily.

If you dont secure the mats with fasteners, they will 'creep' forward on there own. This could be dangerous if the drivers mat got jammed under the pedals. The carpet is not damaged, the plastic peg just screws between the carpet fibres.

I noticed that the Fabia mats are a £30 option on a new build, but £26 on the accessories site! Anyone know if they're the same, or are we paying for the privilege of someone screwing the mountings in for us :)

I think there are 2 sets, a basic and a premium set, so that may account for price discrepancy!
