vRS rear bumper - marked for reverse sensors?

A previous car I owned was equipped with reversing sensors and a colour graphic display - a complete and utter waste of time. No driver in their right mind would reverse a car whilst looking at a display! Just because a car manufacturer fits something does not mean its actually useful (although it might have great 'showroom appeal' and help sales).

The only display that would be useful is something mounted on the rear screen (maybe on the back of the high level brakelight?) so that you get some additional information (e.g. distance to obstacle) when you're turned around looking out of the back window.

Ok I'm a cats **** hair away from buying the Ebay kit but I found this, a genuine kit, part number BEA 609 001. Will ring up tomorrow and get a price. I will prepare for the shock lol.

And what price are they? BEA609001

They are listed in the latest accessories brochure. Do they link up to the Bolero graphics

Might have to get these as it looks as though my car might arrive without them

I asked for a price but they couldn't get them in the UK, said it was for the european market??

some guy on ebay was flogging them for £70 a while back. Sorry not worth the extra over a £20 kit IMHO.

Yeah there was a guy selling a few genuine kits on Ebay a bit back. The one for the Octavia was a mk1 kit, I asked about the mk2 kit but he had none. I got the Ebay jobbie in the end which I am just about to fit :)

Do the sensors look exactly the same as original Skoda ones?

Nope the original ones are slightly recessed which was the look I wanted. :(
